Average Total SAT Scores versus School Tax Millage Rate

The Cocalico Area School District had the third lowest average total SAT scores (2006) of any school district in the county. The only school districts with lower scores were the urban school districts, Lancaster and Columbia Borough. Cocalico also has the third highest school tax rate, again only exceeded by Lancaster and Columbia.

See below for rankings of PSSA testing results. The Middle School ranks very favorably in PSSA testing while the High School is near the bottom of the list in both reading and math. The Elementary Schools rank in the top third in math, but score much lower in reading.
